One Response to Police Tips & Confessions

This letter from an anonymous wellwisher certainly gives much pause for consideration, proposing that the police look at it from a completely different perspective and not presume that Julia was murdered by a male. Parts of it seemingly make much sense inasmuch as it can indeed be regarded as a clean murder, suggestive of a woman’s touch and innate tendency for cleanliness. Whoever the perpetrator of the foul deed was (be it a male or female) would have had much more time available to them than William Wallace in which to do a thorough clean up job and remove any incriminating blood spatter from their person and ensure that when leaving the parlour they left no telltale trail of blood.
I’ve often wondered if a nearby couple who knew the comings and goings of Wallace could be involved in Julia’s murder. He or she would have been ideally placed to cover their tracks.
The letter was obviously written by an intelligent person and cannot be dismissed out of hand I think.
